我如何申請美國公民？ How Do I Apply for U.S. Citizenship?

為了有資格申請入籍，你必須：

1.年滿18歲以上

2.在美居住若干年

3.行為良好

4.對美國歷史及政府基本認知

5.本人連續居住在美記錄

6.能讀，寫，說基本之英語

以下人士除外

7.55歲在美住居至少15年

8.50歲在美住居至少20年

9.因身體或精神障礙無法履行以上條件者。

To be eligible for naturalization you must:

1.Be age 18 or older;

2.Be a permanent resident for a certain amount of time (usually 5 years but less for some individuals);

3.Be a person of good moral character;

4.Have a basic knowledge of U.S. history and government;

5.Have a period of continuous residence and physical presence in the United States;

6.Be able to read, write and speak basic English.

There are exceptions to this rule for someone who

7.is 55 years old and has been a permanent resident for at least 15 years;

8.is 50 years old and has been a permanent resident for at least 20 years;

9.has a permanent physical or mental impairment that makes the individual unable to fulfill these requirements.
